Going global: Warwick Audio Technologies appoints international sales manager

Innovative loudspeaker manufacturer Warwick Audio Technologies has appointed
a new international sales manager to help launch the company into the global
arena.
Warwick Audio Technologies is rapidly making a name for itself, developing and
commercialising a new kind of loudspeaker made from a unique flat, flexible laminate
(FFL) material.
Trevor Brown, an electronics expert with over 20 years’ experience in sales
and marketing has now joined Warwick Audio Technologies to expand the company’s
international client base.
Brown brings an impressive portfolio of expertise to the new role, having spent
much of his career to date working for blue chip companies such as Texas Instruments
and Intel, where he worked as major accounts manager in the UK and the US.
He is now taking steps to bring the FFL speaker and its sister product,
a flat rigid laminate, FRL, speaker to market in Europe, the US and
Asia.
“Warwick Audio Technologies’ sound panels have potential for such
a wide range of markets, that the diversity of clients I’m currently talking
to is incredible,” says Brown.
“From clothing designers to architects and PC manufacturers, so many different
sectors have seen the potential of this product, and what is particularly exciting
is that our customers and potential customers all have their own ideas about
how the FFL and FRL might be used – the speakers inspire people to be creative
and innovative.”
At between 0.25mm to 1mm in thickness, the FFL and FRL sound panels can be custom
manufactured to fit most spaces. The unique directional quality of the sound
produced also means the speakers have great potential in situations where noise
pollution can be a problem, such as passenger terminals or rail platforms.
Over the next 12 months the company, which recently announced a £1.5 million
investment, plans to develop these markets, working to customise its products
to the individual requirements of customers, as well as continuing to enhance
and develop the speakers’ performance.
