About Synergis Technologies


Synergis Technologies was set up to address the gap in seed and early stage funding in the UK R&D sector where there are few investors. Synergis typically invests between £250k and £1m to address this ‘funding gap’ since angel investors often invest sums of up to £250m for early stage companies and Series A investors do not usually invest sums below £1m.

Synergis operates within this funding gap as it believes that this is where the opportunities for growth and value creation are greatest. Once invested, Synergis gets involved in its investee companies at a very early stage of their development in order to accelerate their commercial and technical progress, build a strong management team and devleop a clear strategy for exit

Investment Criteria

Synergis invests in early stage companies that have high value technologies with significant global market potential underpinned by a strong intellectual property position. The technology needs to be disruptive, and often provides a platform for several exciting application areas.

The opportunities that Synergis invests in are usually pre-revenue and can be at the proof-of-concept stage.   A complete management team is not essential because part of any Synergis investment will be used to build an experienced management team around the technology.
